The HORIBA XploRA Nano is a compact confocal Raman microscope system that combines Raman spectroscopy with atomic force microscopy (AFM) for nanoscale chemical imaging. Designed for both routine Raman analysis and advanced tip-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (TERS), the XploRA Nano provides chemical mapping at the nanometer scale by combining the spatial resolution of AFM with the molecular information of Raman spectroscopy. The system integrates HORIBA’s proven confocal Raman technology with AFM in a co-localized design, enabling users to simultaneously acquire topographic and chemical data from the same sample region. The XploRA Nano is suitable for a wide range of samples including 2D materials (graphene, TMDs), polymers, biological specimens, nanomaterials, and semiconductors where spatially resolved chemical information below the optical diffraction limit is required. The system supports standard confocal Raman mapping with spatial resolution to sub-micron levels using the optical mode, and TERS nanometer-resolution imaging in the nanoscale mode. Multiple laser wavelengths are available for optimal signal from different sample types.
