The HORIBA XGT-9000SL is a variant of HORIBA’s XGT-9000 X-ray analytical microscope platform, sharing the core X-ray Guide Tube (XGT) capillary optics technology and simultaneous micro-XRF plus X-ray transmission imaging capabilities of the XGT-9000 series. Like the XGT-9000, the XGT-9000SL focuses X-rays to a fine spot using HORIBA’s proprietary hollow glass capillary guide tube, enabling elemental mapping at spatial resolutions down to 10 µm and simultaneous structural imaging via X-ray transmission — correlating internal structure with elemental composition without destructive sample preparation. The SL configuration is optimized for specific sample access or workflow requirements, making it well-suited for high-throughput screening environments or samples that benefit from a specific stage or loading configuration. The instrument retains the broad elemental coverage (Na to U) and the ability to generate 2D XRF elemental maps across the selected area, with quantitative analysis via fundamental parameters.
