The HORIBA PowerArc is a high-power xenon arc lamp illuminator providing intense broadband UV-VIS-NIR illumination for demanding spectroscopy, photochemistry, and optical characterization applications requiring maximum photon flux.
The HORIBA PowerArc is a high-power xenon arc lamp illuminator designed for applications that require maximum optical output intensity in the UV-VIS-NIR spectral range. Xenon arc lamps operated at high power levels generate the brightest available broadband white-light output, making the PowerArc the preferred source for demanding applications where photon flux is critical: photoluminescence spectroscopy of weakly emitting samples, photochemistry, UV photodegradation testing, action spectrum measurements, and any optical measurement requiring high signal-to-noise ratio in low-light conditions. The PowerArc combines efficient lamp housing and optical collection with high-power lamp operation to deliver maximum usable photon flux to the sample or entrance slit of a monochromator. The housing design addresses the heat management challenges of high-power xenon operation, ensuring safe and stable long-term operation. Neutral density and wavelength-selective filters can be used with the PowerArc to control the illumination spectrum and intensity for specific experiments. The instrument integrates with HORIBA’s line of monochromators and spectrometers, as well as with custom optical setups requiring intense broadband illumination. NewRoad provides the HORIBA PowerArc in Israel for photochemistry laboratories, photovoltaics characterization, PL spectroscopy, and research applications requiring the highest available continuous broadband light intensity.
