The HORIBA DeltaFlex is a flexible TCSPC fluorescence lifetime spectrometer system for time-correlated single photon counting measurements of fluorescence decays from picoseconds to microseconds.
The HORIBA DeltaFlex is a modular time-correlated single photon counting (TCSPC) fluorescence lifetime measurement system designed for the characterization of fluorescence decay kinetics across a wide range of timescales, from picoseconds (using ultrafast pulsed laser diode sources) to microseconds (for long-lifetime phosphorescent materials). The DeltaFlex uses TCSPC electronics to build a histogram of photon arrival times following pulsed excitation, producing fluorescence decay curves that are fitted to exponential models to extract lifetimes and pre-exponential amplitude factors. It is well suited for single-molecule-level fluorescence measurements, multi-exponential decay analysis of complex fluorescence systems (FRET pairs, environment-sensitive probes), and characterization of photophysical processes in organic and inorganic photoluminescent materials. The system is compatible with multiple pulsed laser diode heads (DeltaDiode series) covering excitation from 280 nm to 1040 nm, or with a supercontinuum laser source for flexible wavelength selection. DeltaFlex is a standalone cuvette-based system for solution-phase lifetime measurements, complementary to FLIM systems for microscopy. It integrates with HORIBA FluorEssence software for lifetime data acquisition, display, and fitting.
