The BioLogic VSP (Versatile Single Potentiostat) is a modular multi-channel potentiostat/galvanostat accepting up to four independent electrochemical measurement channels in a single chassis, enabling simultaneous multi-sample experiments with full EIS, CV, and battery cycling capability on each channel.
The BioLogic VSP (Versatile Single Potentiostat) is a modular multi-channel electrochemical workstation that provides up to four independent potentiostat/galvanostat channels in a single chassis, enabling true simultaneous multi-channel electrochemical measurements. Each channel operates fully independently — it can run a different technique, at a different potential or current, and on a completely separate electrochemical cell — while all channels are controlled from the same EC-Lab software interface and data is collected and stored in a unified framework.
The VSP’s modular architecture means that the instrument can be configured with one to four channel modules installed, allowing users to start with a single channel and expand incrementally as throughput requirements grow. Each channel provides the same electrochemical measurement capability as a standalone SP-series potentiostat: cyclic voltammetry (CV), chronoamperometry, chronopotentiometry, galvanostatic charge-discharge cycling (GCPL) for batteries, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) across a wide frequency range. Channels can also be combined (coupled) to address larger electrochemical systems, such as multi-cell battery stacks, where coordinated multi-channel operation is needed.
The VSP is particularly well suited for researchers who need to run multiple simultaneous experiments — comparing different electrode materials or electrolytes, running parallel corrosion tests, or simultaneously characterizing multiple battery cells. The ability to collect data from multiple cells simultaneously, rather than sequentially, dramatically increases experimental throughput and ensures that all compared experiments are run under identical conditions.
NewRoad provides the BioLogic VSP in Israel for electrochemistry research groups requiring simultaneous multi-sample measurements, comparative materials studies, and increased experimental throughput without managing multiple separate instruments.
