The BioLogic VMP-3e (Versatile Multi-channel Potentiostat, 3rd generation enhanced) is BioLogic’s high-channel-count modular potentiostat platform, designed for laboratories that need to run many simultaneous independent electrochemical experiments and require more channels than the 4-channel VSP-3e can provide. The VMP-3e supports a larger number of channel slots in a single chassis, enabling configurations of 8, 12, or 16 or more channels depending on the chassis and configuration, all controlled simultaneously from EC-Lab software.
Each channel in the VMP-3e is a complete, independent potentiostat/galvanostat with the same electrochemical measurement capability as BioLogic’s standalone research instruments: cyclic voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, galvanostatic charge-discharge cycling, chronoamperometry, and all other techniques in the EC-Lab library. All channels run independently — different cells, different techniques, different conditions — while data from all channels is collected and stored in EC-Lab’s unified framework for straightforward parallel data analysis.
The VMP-3e’s high channel count makes it the instrument of choice for battery research programs that need to characterize many cells simultaneously — for statistical validity, comparison of different material formulations, or accelerated aging protocols on multiple samples at once. It is equally valuable in combinatorial electrocatalysis research where many catalyst compositions need to be screened in parallel, and in corrosion testing programs requiring simultaneous monitoring of multiple samples. The enhanced 3e generation electronics provide updated performance specifications consistent with the VSP-3e.
