The BioLogic SP-200 is a high-performance single-channel potentiostat/galvanostat designed for demanding electrochemical research requiring low noise, high current resolution, and accurate EIS measurements across a wide frequency range. It occupies the upper tier of BioLogic’s standalone potentiostat range, above the SP-150e, and is particularly well suited for applications where measurement precision and EIS quality are critical.

The SP-200 provides sub-picoampere current resolution, enabling accurate measurement of extremely small electrochemical signals from microelectrodes, self-assembled monolayers (SAMs), thin film systems, and biological electrodes where the electrochemical currents of interest may be in the picoampere to nanoampere range. Its compliance voltage extends to ±10V or higher, covering the operating range of a wide variety of electrochemical systems and enabling corrosion measurements in organic solvents and non-aqueous electrolytes. The EIS capability of the SP-200 provides accurate impedance data across a broad frequency range with good phase accuracy, suitable for corrosion impedance studies, battery diagnostics, and detailed mechanistic studies of electrode interface processes.

The SP-200 is compatible with BioLogic’s optional low-current module for further enhanced sensitivity, extending its range into the femtoampere regime for applications such as scanning electrochemical microscopy or monolayer characterization. It connects via USB and Ethernet to EC-Lab software for complete technique coverage and data analysis.
