Optosigma Rigid Optical Tables are non-isolated precision steel honeycomb optical breadboard tables for environments with low ambient vibration, providing a flat, stable, and rigid work surface for optical experiments that do not require active vibration isolation.
Optosigma Rigid Optical Tables are precision optical breadboards mounted on rigid non-isolating legs or stands for use in environments where floor vibration is not a concern or where space constraints prevent use of pneumatic isolation systems. They provide a flat, rigid reference surface for optical setups.
Table top (breadboard):
– Ferromagnetic stainless steel top surface with M6 tapped hole pattern (25 mm grid) and/or 1/4-20 holes (1 inch grid)
– Damped steel or honeycomb core construction for improved internal damping compared to solid plate
– Standard sizes: 600×450 mm (small benchtop) through 1800×900 mm and larger
– Flatness: typically 0.1 mm over full area; better than 0.05 mm for premium models
Leg and support options:
– Four-leg rigid stands: fixed height (standard lab bench height, 750-900 mm)
– Adjustable-height rigid legs with leveling feet
– Wall-bracket mounting for vibration-sensitive environments where table is wall-mounted away from floor vibrations
– Cabinet base: enclosed storage under the breadboard with rigid support
Applications:
– Any optical experiment in a relatively quiet building without floor vibration issues
– Teaching labs, prototype optical bench setups, machine vision systems
– When budget or space does not permit pneumatic isolation
