Optosigma Polarizers and wave plates control the polarization state of optical beams for laser systems, ellipsometry, polarimetry, and interferometry. Components include linear polarizers, half-wave plates, quarter-wave plates, and multi-order retarders in BK7, fused silica, and crystal quartz substrates.

Polarization components from Optosigma:
– Linear polarizers (wire-grid and film): high extinction ratio (greater than 1000:1); transmit one linear polarization
– Crystal quartz wave plates: zero-order and multi-order; half-wave (180-degree retardance) and quarter-wave (90-degree retardance)
– Achromatic wave plates: broadband retardance; reduced wavelength sensitivity compared to single-wavelength designs
– Glan-Taylor and Glan-Laser prism polarizers: calcite crystal; very high extinction ratio (greater than 100000:1); used in high-power laser applications
