Optosigma Modular Microscopes are custom-configurable upright and inverted microscope frames built from modular optical components, allowing researchers to assemble specialized fluorescence, laser scanning, or custom imaging systems.
Optosigma Modular Microscopes are open-architecture optical microscope platforms for custom imaging configurations not available in commercial complete microscope packages.
System architecture:
– Modular tube system: infinity-corrected objectives; 200 mm tube lens
– Upright and inverted configurations; XY stage with coarse and fine Z focus
– Optical table integration: mounts on standard breadboard for vibration isolation
– C-mount and F-mount ports at primary and secondary image planes
Fluorescence configuration:
– Filter cube turret: standard 25 mm x 36 mm filter cubes
– Excitation: LED or laser fiber input into epi-fluorescence port
– Dichroic mirror and emission filter in cube; separate imaging and excitation paths
Laser scanning add-ons:
– Galvo scanner port for confocal or TIRF illumination
– Fiber-coupled laser input with collimator aligned to objective back aperture
– Compatible with commercial and custom scanning heads
Brightfield/DIC:
– Koehler condenser; transmitted LED or Halogen base
– DIC prisms and analyzer for differential interference contrast
