The BioNavis 420A ILVES is the top-tier 4-channel MP-SPR instrument featuring dual-polarization capability for simultaneous measurement of molecular orientation, birefringence, and anisotropy alongside binding kinetics and film thickness.
The BioNavis 420A ILVES is the most advanced instrument in the BioNavis Multi-Parametric SPR portfolio, combining 4-channel measurement with dual-polarization (DP-SPR) capability and an extended angular range. Dual-polarization SPR enables measurement of both s- and p-polarized light simultaneously, providing access to additional optical parameters including molecular orientation, film birefringence, and optical anisotropy that cannot be measured by single-polarization SPR systems. When combined with full angular curve scanning and multi-channel throughput, the ILVES delivers the most complete characterization of surface-bound molecular films available in any commercial SPR platform: binding kinetics, adlayer thickness, refractive index, birefringence, and molecular orientation all in a single measurement. This capability is particularly valuable for studying ordered molecular assemblies such as aligned protein films, anisotropic polymer coatings, DNA hybridization orientation, and lipid bilayer structure. The extended angular range provides access to high-refractive-index substrates. NewRoad provides the BioNavis 420A ILVES in Israel for cutting-edge surface science and biophysics research.
