SLFA-60

The HORIBA SLFA-60 is a compact, cost-effective energy-dispersive X-ray fluorescence (EDXRF) analyzer for routine determination of total sulfur content in petroleum products. It belongs to the HORIBA SLFA series of dedicated fuel sulfur analyzers and provides the core analytical capability of the series in a more compact and economical package suited for laboratories and quality control operations that need reliable sulfur measurement without the advanced multi-element or high-sensitivity capabilities of larger systems. Like all SLFA instruments, the SLFA-60 irradiates a liquid fuel sample with X-rays and measures the characteristic sulfur fluorescence signal, providing quantitative sulfur concentration results in mg/kg or wt% within a few minutes without sample digestion, combustion gases, or wet chemical reagents. The SLFA-60 is well suited for incoming raw material testing, production process monitoring, and finished product certification in fuel blending and distribution operations. It is designed for straightforward operation by QC technicians, with pre-loaded calibration methods and a simple workflow: fill the sample cup, place in the instrument, and read the result.
