The MinusK FP-1 is a floor platform negative-stiffness vibration isolation system designed for very heavy instruments that must be placed directly on the floor rather than on a bench.
The MinusK FP-1 is a floor platform vibration isolation system based on MinusK Technology’s patented negative-stiffness mechanism, specifically configured for very heavy instruments that are floor-standing rather than bench-mounted. The FP-1 provides the same 0.5 Hz natural frequency passive vibration isolation as the BM and tabletop MinusK series, but in a low-profile floor-level platform designed to support heavy floor-standing instruments such as large scanning electron microscopes, transmission electron microscopes, focused ion beam systems, mass spectrometers, large X-ray diffractometers, and other major analytical instruments. The floor platform configuration provides a rigid, level mounting surface at floor level while decoupling the instrument from building vibration transmitted through the floor. The negative-stiffness mechanism operates passively with no external utilities required, simplifying installation in electron microscopy suites and other specialist laboratory environments. NewRoad provides the MinusK FP-1 floor platform in Israel for facilities installing large electron microscopy and analytical systems.
