The MinusK BM-8 is a high-capacity model in the Bench Mount (BM) series of negative-stiffness vibration isolators, designed for medium-to-heavy laboratory instruments requiring ultra-low frequency vibration isolation in a benchtop configuration. The BM-8 provides 0.5 Hz natural frequency in all axes through the patented negative-stiffness mechanism, with no external utilities required. It is well suited for larger AFMs, optical microscopes with accessories, SEM systems on bench platforms, vibration-sensitive laser systems, and similar instruments in the 300-600 lb (135-270 kg) load range. The BM series design places the isolator directly under the instrument footprint, minimizing the additional footprint required for vibration isolation while maximizing isolation performance. The BM-8 is user-adjustable to accommodate variations in instrument load and can be set at installation without specialized tools.
