The KSV NIMA MicroBAM is a miniaturized Brewster Angle Microscope (BAM) engineered for in situ visualization of monomolecular films at the air-water interface during Langmuir trough experiments. At the Brewster angle, light does not reflect from a clean water surface, but the presence of a monolayer causes reflected intensity changes that reveal the film morphology, phase transitions, and domain structure in real time. The MicroBAM is compact enough to integrate directly onto any KSV NIMA trough without requiring optical table setups. Images can be captured simultaneously with Pi-A isotherm data through the OneAttension software.
