The Attension® Theta Pulsating Drop from Biolin Scientific adds interfacial rheology measurements to the Theta Flow and Theta Flex platforms. Using the pulsating drop method, it oscillates the volume of a pendant drop and tracks how the interfacial tension responds, characterizing the dilational viscoelasticity of the interface. This is particularly valuable for studying surfactant, protein and emulsion behavior, where the mechanical properties of the interface govern stability.
