    Theta High Pressure

    Convenient and versatile contact angle meter for measuring at high pressures and high temperatures.

    The Attension® Theta High Pressure from Biolin Scientific combines the Theta Flow or Theta Flex with a high pressure chamber, allowing wettability and interfacial tension to be measured under conditions that simulate an oil reservoir. The chamber is engineered to withstand these harsh environments, supporting measurements at pressures up to 400 bar and temperatures up to 200 °C. It was developed specifically for enhanced oil recovery and supercritical fluid applications.

    WHY CHOOSE THIS PRODUCT

    • Direct sample introduction and easy cleaning. A smart sample port lets you introduce the sample directly with a syringe and clean the same line without passing through a pump.
    • Minimal corrosion risk. Corrosive liquids are introduced straight into the high-resistant chamber, keeping corrosion to a minimum.
    • Automated pressure control. With automatic pumps, the target measurement pressure is reached and held automatically.
    • Surfactant studies at constant concentration. A unique chamber design with a moving piston changes pressure without adding fluid, so surfactant concentration stays constant.
    • Liquid and gas studies. The automatic syringe pump compresses either gas or liquid with ease.
    • Wide range of conditions. Temperature control covers both elevated and sub-room temperatures, up to 200 °C and 400 bar.
    • Versatile measurements in one set. Surface tension, interfacial tension, contact angle and surface free energy, all on a single instrument.
