The BioLogic ITS-e is an integrated temperature control and measurement system for electrochemical cells, enabling temperature-dependent electrochemical measurements — Arrhenius studies, temperature-controlled EIS, battery testing at defined temperatures — with precise temperature regulation and monitoring directly synchronized with EC-Lab data acquisition.
The BioLogic ITS-e is a temperature control and measurement accessory designed to integrate with BioLogic potentiostat/galvanostat instruments and EC-Lab software, enabling temperature-dependent and temperature-controlled electrochemical measurements. Temperature is a critical variable in electrochemistry — reaction kinetics, ion conductivity, diffusion coefficients, and electrode/electrolyte interface properties are all temperature-dependent, and meaningful comparison of electrochemical data from different conditions requires controlled and well-documented temperature.
The ITS-e provides precise temperature regulation of the electrochemical cell and records temperature as a synchronized additional channel in the EC-Lab measurement file, so that any temperature excursions or ramps are directly correlated with the electrochemical response. This temperature-electrochemistry synchronization is essential for Arrhenius-type activation energy measurements, temperature-dependent EIS studies, thermal cycling experiments, and battery testing at defined environmental temperatures.
For battery research, temperature control is particularly important since battery performance, aging rate, and safety behavior are all strongly temperature-dependent — data collected at uncontrolled or variable temperature cannot be meaningfully compared. For corrosion and electrocatalysis research, temperature affects exchange current density and Tafel slopes, and Arrhenius analysis of these parameters requires accurate and controlled temperature. The ITS-e provides this capability as a direct accessory to the BioLogic instrument ecosystem. NewRoad provides the BioLogic ITS-e temperature control system in Israel.
