BioLogic EC-Lab is the electrochemical software platform that controls all BioLogic potentiostat, galvanostat, and battery cycler instruments and provides the complete framework for experiment design, execution, data acquisition, and analysis. EC-Lab is the common interface for the entire BioLogic instrument range — from the EKKO and SP-50e entry instruments to the SP-300 flagship and VMP-300 high-channel-count systems — and provides a unified, consistent working environment regardless of the instrument used.

EC-Lab includes a comprehensive library of over 100 pre-implemented electrochemical techniques, covering the full range of potentiostatic and galvanostatic measurements: cyclic voltammetry (CV), linear sweep voltammetry (LSV), chronoamperometry (CA), chronopotentiometry (CP), differential pulse voltammetry (DPV), square wave voltammetry (SWV), staircase voltammetry, potentiostatic and galvanostatic electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (PEIS and GEIS), open circuit voltage (OCV), galvanostatic charge-discharge cycling for batteries (GCPL), constant current constant voltage (CCCV) charging, and a full suite of corrosion techniques including Tafel slope analysis, linear polarization resistance (LPR), potentiodynamic polarization scans, and electrochemical noise measurements. Techniques can be assembled into sequence experiments, and all measurement parameters are fully configurable.

For data analysis, EC-Lab provides built-in analysis tools including Zfit and Zview-equivalent impedance fitting with electrical equivalent circuit modeling for EIS data, Tafel analysis, corrosion rate calculation, battery performance analysis including differential capacity (dQ/dV), capacity fade tracking, and coulombic efficiency trending. All data is stored in EC-Lab’s native .mpr format and can be exported to common formats. NewRoad provides EC-Lab software licensing in Israel for all BioLogic potentiostat customers.
