The HORIBA EMIA Pro is a professional-grade carbon and sulfur combustion analyzer for quantitative determination of total carbon and total sulfur in solid inorganic materials. Building on HORIBA’s EMIA series combustion analysis platform, the Pro model is designed for laboratories requiring robust, high-throughput C/S analysis with reliable performance across a broad range of sample types and concentration ranges. The EMIA Pro uses high-frequency induction furnace combustion in a flow of pure oxygen to convert sample carbon to CO2 and sulfur to SO2, which are then measured by non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) detectors. The Pro configuration includes optimized detector configurations and sample handling for the demands of production-level quality control: fast analysis cycles, robust performance over extended operating periods, and ease of maintenance.
