EKKO

The BioLogic EKKO is a miniaturized, USB-powered potentiostat built for electrochemical teaching laboratories, student practicals, and routine measurements that do not require the full capability of a research-grade instrument. The EKKO connects to a computer via USB and is powered directly from the USB bus, eliminating the need for external power supplies and making it easy to deploy in teaching environments where multiple instruments are needed simultaneously.

Despite its compact form factor and accessible price point, the EKKO provides the core electrochemical techniques required for teaching and routine work: cyclic voltammetry (CV) and linear sweep voltammetry for characterizing redox processes and reaction kinetics; chronoamperometry and chronopotentiometry for time-domain measurements; and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) for characterizing electrochemical systems in the frequency domain. All measurements are controlled through BioLogic’s EC-Lab software, giving EKKO users access to the same analysis tools used with the full BioLogic potentiostat range.

The EKKO is well suited for undergraduate and graduate electrochemistry courses, where students learn fundamentals of electrode kinetics, diffusion, and electroanalytical techniques without the complexity of a full research instrument.
