Cable Accessories

FUTEK Cable Accessories include connector adapters, strain reliefs, junction blocks, and protective conduit fittings that adapt FUTEK transducer cables to different connector formats, protect cable entry points from mechanical stress and environmental ingress, and provide organized, serviceable cable management in test machine and industrial installations.

overview

about this product

FUTEK Cable Accessories are the mechanical and electrical hardware components used to complete, protect, and adapt the cable connections between FUTEK strain gauge transducers and the readout instruments, signal conditioners, and data acquisition systems they connect to. These accessories address the practical installation challenges that arise when standard cable lengths, connector formats, or entry protection requirements don’t exactly match the physical installation requirements.

Connector adapters allow a cable with a FUTEK PT bayonet-lock connector to mate with an instrument that has a different input connector format (DB9, DB15, bare terminal block, or other), or allow a legacy instrument to be connected to a newer FUTEK transducer with a different connector. Adapter bodies maintain the full shield continuity and conductor count of the original cable.

Strain reliefs are mechanical clamps or molded boots installed at the point where a cable enters a connector body or instrument housing. They prevent the cable from being pulled, bent, or twisted at the connection point — the most mechanically vulnerable location in any cable assembly. Without strain relief, repeated mechanical stress concentrates at the solder joint or crimp terminal inside the connector, causing intermittent connections or complete breaks. Strain reliefs are particularly important in test machine applications where cables are subject to repeated flexing during cyclic test runs.

Junction blocks (breakout blocks) provide a labeled terminal-block interface for splitting a multi-conductor transducer cable into individual signals for connection to custom data acquisition systems, signal conditioners, or amplifier boards. They allow a shielded transducer cable to be broken out to screw terminals in a structured, reversible way without cutting or permanently modifying the cable.

Protective conduit fittings and cable glands provide IP-rated sealing at the point where a transducer cable enters an enclosure, instrument housing, or panel cutout — preventing dust, moisture, and wash-down water from entering through the cable opening while allowing the cable to move freely.

NewRoad provides FUTEK cable accessories in Israel to support complete, professional-grade FUTEK transducer cable installations in laboratory, industrial, and field service environments.

WHY CHOOSE THIS PRODUCT

Connector adapters — mate FUTEK PT/SR/MIL connectors to any instrument input format (DB9, DB15, terminal block, etc.) while maintaining full shield continuity and conductor count Strain reliefs — mechanical protection at the cable-to-connector entry point; prevents stress concentration and intermittent connections from repeated flexing in cyclic test applications Junction/breakout blocks — labeled terminal-block interface for structured, reversible breakout of multi-conductor transducer cable to custom DAQ or amplifier board inputs Cable glands and conduit fittings — IP-rated sealing at panel and enclosure cable entries; prevents dust, moisture, and wash-down ingress through cable openings Complete installation system — all hardware needed for a professional, serviceable transducer cable installation from transducer connector to instrument input ISRAEL availability — NewRoad stocks FUTEK cable accessories for same-project delivery with FUTEK transducers and cables
