Panel Display

FUTEK Panel Displays are slim, panel-mount or DIN-rail-mount digital readout modules designed for permanent, fixed-position installation in test equipment front panels, machine operator stations, control cabinets, and production line workstations. They provide a continuous, real-time force, torque, or pressure readout from a connected FUTEK strain gauge transducer at the point where the operator or machine controller needs to see the measurement.

The panel display receives the mV/V bridge signal from the connected transducer, applies a calibrated conversion to engineering units, and shows the value on a bright LED or backlit LCD display visible from the reading distance appropriate for the installation. Segment height and display brightness are selected to match the viewing distance — from close-range desktop reading to line-of-sight across a production floor.

Configurable setpoint/limit outputs (relay or transistor) allow the panel display to trigger alarms, stop signals, or accept/reject indicators when the measured value crosses user-set high or low thresholds — enabling go/no-go quality control decisions at the measurement point without a separate PLC program or additional instrument.

PLC and SCADA connectivity is provided via RS-485 Modbus RTU (standard on many models), RS-232, analog 0–5V or 4–20 mA output, or USB — allowing the panel display to serve simultaneously as the human-readable readout for the operator and as the data source for the machine’s control system or data historian.

Front-panel buttons allow the operator to perform tare/zero, recall peak values, change display units, and acknowledge alarm conditions without requiring a PC or software tool. Some models include a keylock function to prevent accidental recalibration in production environments.
