Female Port

FUTEK Female Port pressure sensors are miniature to compact piezoresistive pressure transducers featuring a female threaded port as the pressure inlet — typically female NPT (National Pipe Thread) or female BSP (British Standard Pipe) threads in standard sizes. The female port configuration allows the sensor to thread directly onto a male-threaded fitting, valve, manifold port, or tube compression fitting without an intermediate adapter, simplifying installation in most standard industrial fluid and pneumatic plumbing systems.

The sensing element is a silicon piezoresistive diaphragm in a fully active Wheatstone bridge configuration, providing accurate, linear pressure measurement with inherent temperature stability. Stainless steel wetted parts are standard for compatibility with water, oils, hydraulic fluids, gases, and mild chemical environments. Sealed gauge, absolute, and differential pressure configurations are available across the standard FUTEK pressure range lineup.

The compact form factor — housing diameter comparable to standard pipe fittings — allows integration into tight plumbing configurations and test manifolds. Electrical connections are available as flying leads, connector styles (Hirschmann, Deutsch, M12), or integral cable, depending on the model and environmental requirements.

Output options include mV/V bridge (for use with external signal conditioner or amplifier) and conditioned analog voltage (0-5V, 1-5V, 0-10V) or 4-20 mA current loop for direct PLC or data acquisition input without an external amplifier. IP65/IP67 ratings are available for wet and washdown environments.
