FUTEK Flange-to-Square torque sensors combine a flanged input connection with a square drive output, enabling direct coupling to standard ratchet drives, socket sets, and torque tools for torque wrench calibration, fastener torque measurement, and manual or powered assembly tool testing.
FUTEK Flange-to-Square torque sensors feature a flanged input face on one end and a square drive output on the other, bridging the gap between standard torque measurement electronics and the world of socket drives, torque wrenches, screwdrivers, and assembly tools. The square drive conforms to standard 1/4″, 3/8″, 1/2″, or 3/4″ drive sizes, allowing direct engagement with any socket, adapter, or torque multiplier without custom interfaces.
The sensing element is a precision-machined torsion shaft with bonded foil strain gauges in a full Wheatstone bridge. The flange-to-square design makes these sensors ideal for torque wrench calibration where the wrench handle engages through standard socket fittings, as well as for testing powered screwdrivers and nutrunners, measuring breakaway and rundown torque of threaded fasteners, and qualifying torque-limiting clutches and tools. The flanged input can be secured to a test bench fixture, reaction arm, or adapter plate.
FUTEK provides Flange-to-Square sensors in capacities matched to the common square drive sizes — from small-drive models for screwdrivers and precision fastening tools up to larger drive sizes for heavy fastening applications.
