Mass flow controllers deliver hydrogen, air or oxygen at a set stoichiometry through humidifiers into a temperature-controlled cell fixture. An integrated potentiostat or load applies the required current or potential and records the cell response, including electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, so membrane, kinetic and mass-transport losses can be separated.
