Rapid Kinetics

Rapid kinetics systems mix reagents in milliseconds and follow the resulting reaction in real time, making it possible to resolve transient intermediates that are invisible to conventional benchtop spectroscopy. NewRoad supplies Bio-Logic stopped-flow, freeze-quench and cryogenic stopped-flow platforms together with the absorbance, fluorescence and circular dichroism detection modules each experiment requires.

How it works

FROM PRINCIPLE TO APPLICATION

Two or more solutions are driven from precision syringes into a micro-volume mixer. Flow is stopped abruptly and the reaction is followed optically from the moment of mixing, with dead times down to roughly one millisecond. Quench-flow and freeze-quench variants instead arrest the reaction chemically or thermally at defined time points for later analysis.
